Lake Powell

The week of the fourth of July we went to Lake Powell. Shelby's family goes every year in the summer(if not twice once in the summer and once in October). I have been lucky enough to go with them the last three summers and two Octobers. I am never disappointed. We have so much fun there. We fish, wake surf, swim, go on adventures, watch movies, and of course eat way too much food. Shelby's dad has a share on a houseboat so we get the luxury of the nice air conditioned boat and a room to stay in which makes things quite nice. This year was pretty quiet since Kileigh, Hayden, and Caleb are all on missions. There were only ten of us til the end of the week. We still had so much fun and my 2 highlights of the trip were catching lots of fish and rappeling down a 150 ft. cliff into the water and the last 100 ft. was a free fall after hiking through a very scary and tiring slot canyon. Here are a bunch of pictures from our exciting week. Sorry there are so many I have a hard time only choosing a few because there are so many things we did.

 We went strolling and Jess drove the boat and fished at the same time. He caught five fish pretty skilled.

 Whenever we drove the boat anywhere Mike had to stand up in the front. It made me laugh really hard he looked like a puppy dog.

 I got to fish with the men this year and I am sure glad cuz it was lots of fun and I love catching fish.
